High Pressure Homogenizers - MEGANIZER
New diaphragm pump design for no-gap,
leakproof homogenization.
The MEGANIZER diaphragm pump range brings the advantages
of no-gap, leakproof and corrosion resistant operation to homogenizer
design. The double-diaphragm is fitted with a condition monitoring
system; plunger and gasket wear is reduced to a minimum; operating
and environmental security is significantly increased; and leakage
due to worn components is eliminated.
With the modular drive concept,
multiplex installations can be constructed
with with up to seven
pump heads, allowing the best
possible adaptation to individual
delivery requirements as well as
later changes in capacity.
A high pressure homogenizer has two key components: the homogenizer head and the high pressure pump which provides the necessary pressure energy. MEGANIZER homogenizers use the NOVAPLEX range of process pumps.
Homogenization Pressure
The homogenization pressure is generally produced by a pressure-limited hydraulic system. This eliminates damage from faulty operation and accidental overload. The standard range incorporates NOVAPLEX hydraulically supported diaphragm pumps in all gear sizes. Flow rates are from a few hundred liters to > 30 m3/h, pressures up to 10,152 PSI (700 bar), and process temperature from -4° F to 302° F (-20° C to 150° C).
